It was a beautiful day after a storm, and that usually means a huge turnout, but even with the lure of the new map on the southern half we had a light turnout of 53 people. A few years ago that would have been an excellent turnout, but lately we've been flirting with 100 at most events. It looks like it was the families and ROTC groups that were absent so it may have been a combination of spring break and Palm Sunday, or maybe just three events in three weeks is too much.
This was an event without an event director, and lots of orienteers chipped in to put it together. The combination of lots of helpers and few competitors resulted in about a 1:4 ratio of helpers to competitors.
