It was a beautiful, sunny, cool, windy, (that is very windy), day. The courses were technically difficult. We had a large class for the white course.

One thing that made life difficult for some was an error on control ER (although most didn't notice). I had remembered using the ditch junction in the past, but when I got there this time one of the ditches was missing. I looked around for another ditch, but I was too low (and maybe it was too early). In any case, I posted a map correction saying the junction was missing, and the clue was just a ditch. (Remember, when you say there is a problem with the map, you should check some more.) Ron Brown challenged me (he updated the map two years ago), I went out to check, and sure enough, the junction was there--I just didn't find it before the event.
