Al Geiger, Meet Director

The courses for this meet were primarily on the west side of the park. Relatively warm, humid weather and nearly leafed-out foliage made conditions challenging. Control “EU” caused difficulty on all of the advanced courses. This control was probably misplaced in a confusing region with multiple spur-reentrant features. Four of six Brown competitors and the single Green competitor did not successfully finish, largely because of problems with this control. The Red-course competitors did better, 9 of 11 finishing successfully.

Joe Halloran helped with registration and gave a beginners class, and Ron Brown helped with registration. Mary Stevens helped set and pick up controls, and Dwight Iverson and Gordon Pitz picked up controls.
