The night event was a great success with 26 people participating. The time limit was 45 minutes with a 5 point penalty for each of the first 5 minutes, 10 points for each of the next 5 minutes, and 20 points for each minute over that. It was cool and clear with no moon, so the forest was dark .
Joseph gave a quick class on Night "O" technique with the main point being to stay with a handrail. In following his own advice he was running along a very small dry creek, and when he stepped onto an extremely flat leafy section he discovered a very nice swimming hole nearly 4 feet deep. (This is to compensate for there not being a big storm that night.)
Slade gets the prize for the most persistence and also for attempting to prove the Conservation of Points conjecture.
Many thanks to David Harris for setting the controls. Even for the 40 pointer in the midst of a thicket.
